Mark's Updates

Comments: Fishing for 2005 has been great. As we end this year, the winter bite is already producing lots of trophy fish. December through February should be very good for trophy fish on the "river" and larger fish on Lake Mead. The days are cool but beautiful and this is the perfect time to take 3/4 day trips. The added time gives a chance at bigger fish and the extra time to put plenty of schooling fish on the boat.Look for a great bait bite as the water warms in March and April. Fish will begin schooling in ernist as they move into the pre-spawn during these months. The water temp is averaging around 56 degrees and when it reaches 60 degrees the shad will start to spawn. As the fry begin to grow, the stripers will begin to slurp them on the serface and will be able to be caught on top water lures in the mornings and evenings. Thats all for now, Cap'n Mark.
